 A home for life.

We dedicate ourselves to providing the best possible habitats for all of our animals.  Biochip implants are used in alligators for easy identification and recordkeeping.  We constantly are adding new ponds so every gator has an opportunity to make themselves right at home.

WE DO NOT BUY,SELL, TRADE, or CONSUME any of the animals at our facility.  Every staff member at the Alligator Sanctuary is passionate about providing reptiles with long healthy lives.

Diet and Nutrition

Alligators at our facility are fed a specially designed product that has been researched, tested, and used at many of the world's finest zoos and aquariums.  The food contains a high level of fish and poultry meat, as well as calcium, phosphorus, and vitamins.

Visitors to the sanctuary are allowed to purchase these specially designed food products and feed the animals at several different locations (weather permitting).

Habitats

Though Michigan is not the ideal state to raise large reptiles, our animals are given a wonderful home.  Every care is taken to provide the animals with a natural-like setting to live out their lives and to do many of the things that a crocodillian in the wild would do.  Because alligators can not be re-introduced to the wild after living with humans, this is the best case scenario for your pet.  We are often referred to as the "Retirement Community for Reptiles".  The animals get many of the stimulus here that they would get in a Florida swamp but without the dangers that exist there.

If you would like to donate a pet to the Alligator Sanctuary please contact us by email info@alligatorsanctuary.com or call (269) 729-4802 between 11am and 6pm.

Expect to pay a one-time fee for the transfer of ownership to the Alligator Sanctuary, which is based on the size of the animal.
